Annual Report Ecuador 2015

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015, places people at the core of sustainable development and has set ending poverty and eradicating hunger as two of its primary goals. The second Sustainable Development Goal aims to achieve food security with improved nutrition for all people and promotes the implementation of sustainable agriculture models. In the National Plan for Good Living, the Government of Ecuador established the eradication of undernutrition in children younger than two years old as a priority. The United Nations World Food Programme is proud to join the efforts of the Ecuadorian Government to achieve this goal. Learning and innovation are our goals, and we achieve them with our partners through developing capacities together.
