WFP in Bangladesh: 2015 in Review

WFP has been working in Bangladesh since 1974 and has helped more than 155 million people through our work to improve food security and nutritional well-being for the nation’s poorest communities. More recently, WFP’s work has expanded to include climate-change mitigation, including resilience-building projects in disaster-prone areas.

In 2015 WFP Bangladesh engaged in programme implementation and support to national programmes, and created evidence on emerging food security and nutrition challenges. This report provides an overview of our work on a range of topics, including Feeding Schoolchildren; Helping the Government Reduce Food Insecurity; Building Resilient Communities and Reducing Climate Change Impacts; Preparing for and Responding to Emergencies; Creating Evidence to Improve Food Security and Nutrition.
